Welcome to femtoshare. We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. femtoshare is a simple service to share files and text between devices. We collect only what is necessary to provide that service.
We only collect the file(s) or text that you explicitly send through femtoshare. We do not request or collect personally identifying information such as your name, email address, phone number, or payment details.
Data is transmitted using forms in the web application that send content over a secure WebSocket connection to enable real-time transfers between devices.
Your files and text are used solely to complete the requested transfer between devices. We do not use shared content for profiling, advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.
Shared content is not stored permanently on our servers. Data exists only for the duration necessary to complete the transfer and is removed thereafter. If you require a specific retention policy (e.g., automatic deletion after X hours), please contact us (see section "Contact").
We do not share, sell, or transfer your shared content to third parties. There are no analytics, advertising networks, or external storage providers used by default.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit (for example, encrypting WebSocket traffic). However, no system can be 100% secure — please avoid sharing extremely sensitive information if you need long-term confidentiality guarantees.
Because we do not collect identifying personal information, rights like data access, correction, or export are limited. If you believe your content remains on our servers or you wish to request removal or have other concerns, contact us (see below).
This policy is governed by the laws of the country in which femtoshare operates (your country of residence).
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
